Maundy Thursday is the beginning to three services of Easter weekend. This service recognizes the night before Jesus was betrayed. He washed the disciples’ feet and they celebrated their last Supper together. This is the night Jesus commanded his disciples to “Love one another as He had loved them.” (John 13:34). This service at Boone First includes communion.

The Stations of the Cross refers to 14 points in Jesus life as he journeyed from the court of Pontius Pilate to the tomb. Boone First is offering a video of these stations with an updated version that includes personal reflection. The Stations video is available online now. Before watching, it will be helpful to gather a candle, small bowl of water & salt shaker, and pen & paper.

We celebrate Jesus’ resurrection and his victory over death. This service includes special music and a flowering of the Cross, where we take the plain cross and the congregation covers it in flowers.
